My oh my I just can't believe the holiday season was here and now gone. So sad:( My family and I had a great year this year. I wanted to share some fun family Christmas photos of our wonderful Christmas! This is a long post so hold on! First I was bound and determined to have Camille shoot a minn session so I could have a new family picture to put on our cards. Didn't it turn out fabulous! Thanks so much Camille...you are the best.
Here are just a few from that session that I loved:)
My very in touch with fashion mom gave Selah an adorable Christmas dress so I had to grab a few shots of her in it. This was after all her very first Christmas so she had to look fabulous!
This was the first year I haven't celebrated Christmas with my mom. She moved to Texas a few years ago and always flew back to be here for the holidays. Our tradition is on Christmas Eve we go to church, come home have my mom's homemade chili, and open one present under the tree. This year my brother moved out to Austin and it changed things around. So this year my mom stayed in Texas, my Grandma just moved there too, and she was here for New Years. Here are a few picks around the house before Christmas Eve. Anyssa took this one while we where decorating the tree...it turned out so good.
Lights are so fun...especially when they are tangled!
Luke loving on Selah.
My mom and my Grandma Reva on web cam to see the kids open some gifts on Christmas Eve. Technology makes staying in touch so much easier.
Anyssa looking cute in the antlers I bought everyone to wear while we opened gifts...yeah I am a dork but a fun dork!
Mike's family is originally from this super small town in Wisconsin called Mondovi. Every year his parents rent out this old barn that the owners turned into a lodge thus the name "Barn Again Lodge". It is very nice and we always have such a fun time when we go even if it super cold. Luke loves the snow and calls snow flakes "Snow Flacks". This year we left on Christmas Day and came home on New Years Eve (usually we spend New Years in Minnesota).
Luke in the cold.
Luke wanted to build a snow man for Selah. This is the baby snow man Daddy and Luke built:)
Mikes friend and his little boy named Owen came over to go sledding and build a snow fort. Here are a few pictures of the fun!
One of my favorites from the trip of Luke. Don't you love his pink snow gloves!
The tree Mike and his sister Hannah cut down.
A few of Luke handing out Christmas presents.
A few of the fun after presents. Oh yeah Sara's lovely, bright sweater was a gift from Mike...he always gets silly gifts for a laugh or two. And this gift the reactions brought us to tears!
Hannah, Mike, and Sara. What a lovely trio:)
Umm yes if you were asking yourself if that was a Snuggie...you are right!
Selah spent allot of time in her snugle since she likes movement and there was not a handy dandy swing around.
Mike and his mom.
Luke waking his sister up. Rise and shine it is morning time!
Love Luke's smile in this one, you can almost hear him laugh.
A few last pictures of the kids in the snow.
We had so much fun. I love to document our trips there. Family moments are so precious!
